Welcome to the Home Page of
Immaculate Conception School!
Rio Grande City is the county seat of Starr County, which is right on the Mexican Border, in the far west of the Rio Grande Valley.
We are proud of our school. We have dedicated teachers and staff, involved parents, and great community support. We have students from a wide variety of locations in Starr County, Texas and Northern Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Our school has been having a very exciting year. There are lots of activities in our school and lots of kids participate. Click here to see what Activities does our school have.
We have also completed a beautiful mural on the walls outside of our basketball court. Maybe, if you live near us, or come visit South Texas, you can come see our beautiful mural. You can see the mural pictures in ICS Picture Gallery
Below you will find a copy of our school philosophy. Thank you for visiting us!
We,
the parents, students, faculty, and administration of Immaculate Conception School are committed to providing and maintaining high academic standards in a Christian atmosphere of open communication, discipline, orderliness, and accountability.
We are
committed to the development of the whole child:
spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically for the service of God and the local and global community. We encourage leadership qualities and student participation.
We practice
Catholic, Christian, academic, professional, civic, and fiscal accountability and we work in cooperation with the public school and comply with the diocesan policies. In a decision-making process, all areas are developed through committees consisting of administration, faculty, and parents. To continue to grow and achieve high standards in all areas, a yearly assessment of our school philosophy and goals will be conducted.
